What the grades on this site mean.
Every lot in our catalogue is described in the same shorthand — a grade, a screen status, and four cosmetic part grades. This page is the key to it, and the numbers against each term are the units actually in stock today: 2,286 Retail Ready and 532 Ready for Refurb. Nothing is listed here that we do not currently sell.
Retail Ready grades
Retail Ready phones are tested and graded in our own facility and are ready to sell on as they are. The ladder runs B, AB, A-, A, A+, most worn to least. Each grade below has its own page explaining what it means and what is in stock at it today.
Ready for Refurb: the four part grades
A Ready for Refurb lot is written as four values in order — front glass, bezel, back glass, camera lens. A lot reading AB + AB + Ok + Ok is AB on the front glass, AB on the bezel, and no fault on the back glass or camera lens. Where a part is broken the word is used instead of a letter, so Front glass broken + C + Ok + Ok means exactly that.
Screen status
Recorded separately from the cosmetic grades, because a screen is the single biggest cost in reworking a phone. OEM means the original Apple or Samsung panel; aftermarket means it has already been replaced with a third-party one. OLED not checked means exactly that — it has not been tested, and is priced as unknown rather than as good.

Functional faults
What is wrong with the phone, as distinct from how it looks. Every fault we have recorded is listed on the lot, and a lot can carry more than one. Untested means we have not put it through functional testing; it is not a claim that the phone works.

Prices follow this directly: a fault on a lot reduces its per-unit price by what the repair costs us, so a phone with a bad screen is priced below an identical one without. Today's stock and prices shows where every model sits.
